In 1957 the six members were Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, now the EU has 25 members.
On january the 1st in 2002, 12 Europian countries adopt a new single currency, the Euro. In june 2004, the 25 EU governments concur on the Unions first ever indite constitution.
